Turn it on when you set out

Open Musafir, choose your madhab and start the journey. The page shows the distance and length of stay that make someone a traveller in that school, each with its source.

If you are far from your saved home and Musafir is off, the app may ask whether you are travelling. The distance is worked out on your phone.

While travelling

Four-rakʿah prayers are shown shortened on the Salat page. On the move, the app offers to pray two prayers together, in the time of the first or of the second.

After the journey

Prayers missed on the journey are kept apart as travel kaza, and past journeys stay in your history. Remove a journey and its days stop counting as travel days.
